Rooted in Purpose: The Story of The 1925 Flower Farm
TW: Our story includes loss. Please read with care and know it is shared with love.
Hi, I’m Kenzie! I’m a wife, mama of two, ag teacher, flower farmer, and lover of all things vintage. My favorite weekends are spent browsing antique shops and auctions or tending the garden alongside my husband and daughter.
I founded The 1925 Flower Farm & Market in 2024, shortly after moving into our forever farm and finally having space to plant a proper flower patch. That first year was all about experimenting, making bouquets for myself and my family, learning as I went, and simply enjoying the process. By the next year, I began selling bouquets weekly and had the honor of providing flowers for small events and birthday parties.
This year, 2026, the mission of the flower farm feels even more meaningful. In December 2025, when I was eight months pregnant, my husband and I were preparing for the arrival of our second daughter. Tragically, we lost her, Halle Lorraine, at 33 weeks due to a rare viral infection called Parvovirus B19, which caused inflammation in her heart. The days that followed were a blur of grief, yet in the midst of that pain, a small spark of hope led me back to the flower farm.
During our brief time in the hospital, we treasured every moment, memorizing her tiny features and holding onto her memory as tightly as we could. Through the farm, I hope to honor Halle’s life, donating a portion of our profits to organizations that support families navigating child loss. We were incredibly blessed to have an organization provide us with precious photographs to help preserve Halle’s memory forever.
In the wake of our loss, I also discovered sewing - a new creative outlet that became a way to cope, stay busy, and honor my daughter. It’s led to the creation of vintage-inspired quilted sweatshirts and other handmade pieces, a space where my love for flowers, design, and nostalgia all come together.
Thank you for being here and supporting this creative corner of my life. Every bouquet, every handmade piece, and every visit helps keep this dream and the memory of our sweet Halle alive.
